  • What is RF skin tightening?

Radio Frequency (RF) Skin Tightening helps smooth the skin after fat freezing or cavitation treatments. It reduces cellulite by accelerating the production of collagen and elastin fibres, producing a healthier-looking and more youthful skin.

It uses an advanced technology that safely heats the collagen in the skin. As sufficient energy is delivered, the collagen will contract, providing an immediate change in skin appearance. A result of collagen remodelling is tighter, younger-looking skin.

  • How does the RF skin tightening work?

The radio frequency energy penetrates the skin layers to selectively heat the skin tissue where the collagen fibres are embedded.

This localised heating causes an immediate contraction of the collagen fibres. Fat cells drain then shrink while those all-important fibroblast cells (part of our connective tissue) are stimulated to produce new collagen and elastin fibres.

The effect of this procedure is tighter, smoother, younger looking skin with a visible lift. Fat cells are reduced and stubborn cellulite are a lot less noticeable.

  • Are the benefits permanent?

We all know that as the body ages our collagen decreases. Therefore this treatment will need follow up treatments. On average 2-3 treatments yearly or thereabouts.

  • HIFU
  • HIFU Skin Tightening Questions

  • What is HIFU?

HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) also known as Ultherapy or Ulthera uses ultrasound to safely tighten and lift deep within the structural tissue beyond the dermis and foundation layers - where weakening and ageing begins - whilst protecting the surface of the skin.

Ultrasound is a form of energy - unlike IPL, lasers or radio frequency - which penetrates and heats the target point to 65C creating thermal heat, causing deliberately and evenly spaced wounds and cellular friction. This action immediately results in the collagen contracting and rapidly stimulates new collagen production. Healing is promoted and continues for the next 90-180 days, leading to a lifting and tightening with results that can potentially last for years.

Helps to improve the tone of your skin and plump out sagging and wrinkles, making it a viable alternative to Botox whilst being able to maintain facial expression. HIFU is a great way to maintain the lift and treat blood stasis, scarring and numbness post surgical facelift. HIFU is also used on body parts, for slimming and skin tightening.

  • Where can HIFU treat?

HIFU has been hailed as the non-surgical facelift but can also be use for other body parts.

    • Full face and jaw.
    • Upper face.
    • Cheeks.
    • Eyebags.
    • Neck.
    • Décolletage.
    • Body.
    • Stomach.
    • Flanks.
    • Upper arms.
    • Back and bra line.
    • Thighs - outer and inner.
  • Preparation and length of treatment?

A consultation is required to assess your needs and your required results and to help you to understand the process. Each area takes approximately 30 minutes. Your treatment will be individually tailor made for you and will be discussed at your initial consultation.

  • What results can you expect?

Some clients see a visible result immediately, with optimum results expected form 3-6 months. The long term results will differ on an individual basis but an average of 18 months - 3 years can be expected.

  • Number of treatments required?

The number of treatments differs from client to client and is dependent on the age and condition of the skin. One treatment is normally sufficient for clients with light to moderate skin laxity.

  • Who is a suitable client for HIFU?

If you have a little drooping/loose skin on your face or body, and are considering a face lift, liposuction or tummy tuck . All skin types and tones are treatable.
